The Piglet
Designbite was tasked with creating a brand identity, logo design, and website design and development for The Piglet, an independent, food-led country pub in Locksbottom, Orpington. As the younger sibling of The Pig’s Head in Clapham, the brief was to keep the same values and standards, but interpret them for a more relaxed, suburban pub popular with families and locals. A playful, looser identity was developed using a fresh green colour palette and textured details to give the pub a warm, welcoming feel. Playful illustrations bring personality to the website, while the layout keeps menus, events, and bookings easy to find. This look was carried across marketing materials, including posters, bill slips, and Instagram posts. The end result is a friendly, relaxed, characterful brand that feels at home in its country setting, distinct from its big sister, The Pig’s Head in Clapham Old Town, while still clearly belonging to the same family.
